Find Clark County Released Mugshots

A mugshot of a released Clark County inmate is tied to a past booking, not to the person's current custody status. Clark County has no verified public photo roster or released-mugshot feed, so finding a Clark County booking photo usually starts with a booking-specific records request. A state corrections image or registry photograph may depict the same person at another time, but it is not the county booking image. Use an official custodian, match the image to its source and date, and confirm the release through a separate custody record.

Clark County Booking Photo Records

A booking photograph records a person's appearance during an arrest intake. It remains linked to that booking after a release, but it does not prove guilt, a conviction, continued custody, or the reason custody ended. Clark County's official sheriff page does not publish an online jail roster, recent-release gallery, or photo archive. A photo found elsewhere therefore needs a clear custodian and booking date.

Idaho has no categorical statewide rule found in the research that forces every booking photo onto a public website. Nor was a statewide anti-pay-to-remove law identified. A custodian evaluates an existing photograph under the Idaho Public Records Act, Title 74, including law-enforcement exemptions in Idaho Code § 74-124. Disclosure or redaction depends on the actual record and circumstances. No result is guaranteed.

Photo limit: a photograph is not a live custody record. Confirm release with the Clark County Sheriff, IDOC, or the court record that fits the case.

Clark County Mugshot Channels

The source determines what an image means. A county booking image, IDOC identification image, and later registry photograph may show the same person at different times. They are maintained for different purposes and cannot be swapped as if they were one record.

Generic third-party pages were not reliable enough to recommend. Clark County sites outside official channels conflict on basic jail facts and do not establish image date, source, release reason, or whether custody continued. An old mugshot can remain online long after a transfer, dismissal, or sentence completion.

Request Clark County Released Mugshots

The safest route is an exact booking-photo request to Clark County. The sheriff is at 224 W. Main Street, Dubois, ID 83423, and the main line is 208-374-5403. Clark County provides a public-record request form. The request should identify an existing record instead of asking the office to research or build a gallery.

  1. Confirm the person's full legal name and the approximate Clark County booking date.
  2. Add a date of birth or case number when appropriate to separate similar names.
  3. Use the Clark County public-record request form and ask for the booking photograph tied to that booking.
  4. State the preferred delivery form and provide contact details for clarification or cost notice.
  5. Review the custodian's response, redactions, exemption citation, and any available appeal information.

Idaho law generally allows inspection of public records, but law-enforcement material can contain exempt parts. Clark County has not published a separate booking-photo fee, retention schedule, or special photo policy. Do not promise a price or deadline that the county has not stated. A narrow, person-specific booking request is more likely to identify an existing record than a demand for all released photos in a date range.

For a complete release record rather than only an image, the Clark County released inmate lookup explains the sheriff, court, IDOC, and notification channels. The physical release entry and photo remain separate records.

No Clark County Photo App

No sheriff mobile app, official booking-photo feed, or officially linked social release channel was verified. The official Clark County Sheriff page gives the address and telephone but no roster or recent-release photo link. A social-media URL repeated by an outside directory is not enough because the current county site does not link it.

This absence is a Clark County access fact. It should not be filled with another county's jail app, an aggregator gallery, or a guessed social account. The records-request form is the supported photo path. For recent release status, use Released Last 24 Hours, which explains why there is no official same-day Clark feed and how to request an identified release entry.

A caller can ask the sheriff whether a photo exists for the booking and which request route the office prefers. The answer may depend on the age of the record, the case, retention, and a statutory exemption. Verification by phone does not itself authorize republication.

Note: Clark County's lack of an app or roster means there is no documented public window during which released photos remain visible.

Idaho Images Are Not Mugshots

An IDOC identification image, when releasable, belongs to the state correctional record. The public IDOC detail pages examined did not establish that every record exposes a portrait. Do not promise one. IDOC's records channel can review a request for an existing releasable photograph, while the public Resident/Client Search should be used for its actual custody, supervision, sentence, and discharge fields.

The Idaho State Police sex-offender registry includes a current registry photograph for a person who is subject to registration. That photograph may postdate a Clark arrest by years. It is not necessarily a booking photo and cannot confirm the date or fact of release from Clark County Jail.

The official Idaho registry search shows the distinct registry lookup and its warnings.

Check Clark Mugshot Provenance

Provenance means where a record came from and how its identity can be traced. Start with the page that published the image. Look for an official domain, named agency, booking date, case number, and caption. Then compare those details with the sheriff or court record. A cropped image without a source or date has little value for confirming a specific booking.

  • Match the full legal name and booking date.
  • Identify the agency that created or supplied the photograph.
  • Separate arrest, prison, and registry images.
  • Check whether a caption describes arrest, transfer, or release.
  • Verify present status through a custody record, not the image.

No consistent Clark County official or local-news booking-photo archive was verified. A news photograph documents what a publisher used in a dated report. It does not prove a person's current status. Likewise, a mugshot copied by an outside site can survive after the official source changes or removes its page.

Records should be handled with care. Arrest does not equal conviction. Release can occur through bond, time served, dismissal, transfer, parole, or another lawful route. The image alone does not disclose which event occurred.

Clark Photo Removal Requests

First identify who controls the image. Clark County can only address records and pages it controls. IDOC, the registry, a court, a news publisher, and an outside website each maintain separate systems. A sealing or court order does not automatically erase every copy already held elsewhere, and no Clark-specific online removal process was found.

Send the custodian a precise request that cites the record, URL, booking or case identifier, and the legal change believed to affect access. Include a certified order when required. Ask for the office's written decision. If the image is on an outside page, use that publisher's correction or removal route. Do not pay an unknown service merely because it claims to control an official record.

Idaho research did not establish a categorical online-publication mandate or an anti-pay-to-remove statute. Title 74 and § 74-124 still require a record-specific public-record analysis. A denial should identify the legal ground used, and a person who needs legal advice about sealing or access should consult a qualified Idaho attorney.
